Berrena’s Mechanical Services along with Spicklers & PHE Mechanical believes in helping our customers protect the investment they have made in their HVAC systems. It is important to regularly check the operation of heating and cooling equipment to assure reliability, efficiency, and to be given the opportunity to keep that equipment in as new as possible condition. It is also important to insure a manufacturers warranty does not become void because of a lack of regular maintenance.
That is why we offer an Annual Maintenance Inspection Program. This program is designed to check your equipment before or during the season in which it will be used. Our trained technicians will come to your home and will systematically check each component of your equipment to determine if all parts are functioning as they should. Adjustments, cleaning, and accurate records will be made to assure your peace of mind. If there are recommendations the technician would like to make as to replacement of components, you will be informed of his findings and the cost of replacement.
Our goal is to make the program easy by sending renewal agreements when yours expires, as well as reminder cards when it is time for you to schedule an appointment. Our information system allows us to identify the exact brand and model of equipment in your home. Along with the care of your equipment, you will receive Preferred Customer status when you hold a Maintenance Agreement. This means service before other non-agreement customers, and discounted service rates.
Whether you have an oil or gas fired boiler or furnace, a heat pump, air conditioner, or geo-thermal system, doesn’t it make sense to have a professional with the latest tools and diagnostic equipment give your heating and cooling system a regular and thorough check up?

Preventative Maintenance Questions:
How often should I change or clean my filters?
Filters should generally be replaced every month when the system is running. Replace filters with the same kind & size as the original filter. If your filter is not disposable, follow the manufacturer instructions for cleaning. If you're using a high-density filter such as an electrostatic filter, check with Berrena’s who has access to all major brands & styles of filters & will be able to explain their proper use.
Where is my filter located?
Your air filter should be located in either the blower compartment of the furnace, in an attached filter case, or in a return air grille in a wall or ceiling of your home. If you cannot find the air filter, contact us for assistance.
